Have you been lucky enough to have a Black teacher be a part of your education? Looking back on my schooling, I was struck by how many brilliant Black folks took their time to teach me something, inside and outside of the classroom. They are the reason why I'm still in the teaching game all these years later. In this era when the number of Black classroom teachers are in decline, it's even more important to tell our stories.
